Relocation Expense Tracking and Reporting

Feature: Our in-house Expense Administration department uses specialized software for relocation expense tracking and tax gross-up. This proprietary software provides superior expense tracking capabilities, globally tracking the status and costs of each transfer through every step of this complex process.

This service will:

  • Record each employee's moving expense reimbursements into the proper category.
  • Provide payroll with a regularly scheduled report of moving expense totals for each employee, including client-directed tax assistance.
  • Provide to the employee at year-end a report detailing all relocation-related reimbursements made to the employee or made on his or her behalf, and the tax treatment of those items.
  • Provide management-summary reports at regular intervals throughout the move.

Cash Management

Feature: We create special accounts to reimburse employees for relocation-related expenses as they occur. When RE/MAX Relocation arranges an imprest account to reimburse an employee's relocation expenses, it is generally structured so that the account belongs to the client, and is housed at the client's bank.

Benefit: Detailed reports provide you with an audit trail of all reimbursements. All tax-advantage expenses are clearly tied to your business operations.
