Area Information - North Branford, CT The town of North Branford in south central Connecticut near the Long Island Sound, covers 26.8 square miles and is home to approximately 13,860 residents. It was first settled in 1653. The town was incorporated form Branford in 1831. Farms still cover the ridges and valleys of the town, and family-run vegetable stands along the roads complete the rural atmosphere.
