Area Information - Woodbridge, CT The town of Woodbridge in south central Connecticut on the hills above New Haven, covers 19.3 square miles and is home to approximately 8,260 residents. Woodbridge was settled in 1649 and was incorporated from New Haven and Milford in 1784. Bethany was set off from it in 1832. Although Woodbridge has some light industry, it is primarily a community made up of suburbanite commuters.
